We spend a high amount of money when we buy a LED TV. Of course, we want it to last and so, here are some dos and don’ts to protect your TVs and avoid future damage.

DOS

  • You may want to protect your TV with TV armor. We can’t help it when children, specifically toddlers, bang or throw their toy truck to your new television. LED TVs have a fragile screen that’s why you need a TV armor when you have children at home or if there are certain factors that have a potential for breaking the TV’s screen. Find a TV armor in the market that does not affect the picture quality of the television.
  • Hide the cords of your DVD player or any external device and find a proper storage place for it. Tangled mess of cords my cause accident on any person who walks in that area, toppling the person and worse, your TV might face some unwanted consequences.
  • You can place your television on a higher place but at a still comfortable viewing angle. That way, the kids won’t be able to reach it.
  • Consider the size of your LED TV with the available space in your room.
  • Set your viewing distance in such a way that you’re not that close to your TV. Doing so, can avoid eye pain and long term eye damage.
  • Know your television. Explore every part of it. You have to use it according to its worth. Use its features. Hey, you didn’t buy an expensive TV just to watch an ordinary TV show.
  • Let your TV rest. Set a time for sleep or standby mode. Even machines have their limitations and your TV is one of them.

DON’TS

  • Don’t forget to keep the television out of children’s reach. Kids are very energetic and talkative. They tend to be curious and they bang any object that they can grasp. You’ll be sorry if they bang their toys right at you television.
  • Don’t just leave a tangled mess of cord in your TV area. It could cause injury not only to the persons around but also to your TV.
  • Don’t place your TV too close to where you’re watching. It could cause eye pain or long term damage.
  • Don’t overuse your TV. Give it time to rest.
  • Don’t just insert input cords in your TV if it’s not the right cord. It may produce output error and may cause damage in the future.
  • Don’t adjust TV set when you don’t know what you are really doing. It may cause poor picture quality and you may not know how to return it to its usual setting. Study the settings first before doing the adjustments.
